I hired them on a cross country move from California to North Carolina. So this one person in the company is the reason I can live with giving 1 star rather than zero. The scheduled delivery and pickup happened just like he said. He was the only person who told the truth. The man who manages the facility outside of Raleigh said he would schedule our delivery the next week. I said "I've been to your warehouse and they have 2 forklifts" and the rep had no come back for that. They said the problem was that a forklift had broken down. In fact, they never called me during the WEEKS they had all of my belongings and I had an empty house. The "customer service" person would promise to call back but never did. I tried to get a manager but managers are never available. Then the routine would start again the next day. Day after day I called 3 or 4 times a day and the person on the phone would assure me that they deliver until 9 pm so I needed to be patient. They promised a date of delivery that never happened. Once we bought our house, the real problems started.

Why did I have to track down a driver to get on the schedule?ģ.

I finally found the number for the driver who told us he would put us on the schedule and pick up the pod the next day. We called Zippy repeatedly and got the same line over and over - “the truck broke down” and they had no idea when our pod would be picked up. The new owners of our house had our pod in their driveway for days after moving in. The first pod was picked up but they left the second one for days. The containers showed up on time but once the house was sold, Zippy/Pack Rat didn’t pick up the containers when they said they would. I had to leave Texas with some of our stuff in storage.Ģ. They told me over and over that one pod would be enough. My "good friend" that signed me up couldn't be reached once the problems started.ġ. Zippy Shell and Pack Rat are the same company and they are convincing and friendly when you sign up. Why is it on every review? (I gave them so many chances to make it right) Zippy will likely respond after this that "They are so sorry to hear about this and they are working to get better" but they must have a robot putting that on every review. I generally leave only good reviews but our experience was so bad that I’m hoping this will save someone from a horrible experience.
